Ever since that first post at Quincy DP about pay phones, I can't stop noticing them everywhere I go! This was the third person I saw using one of these phones in the three-ish hours I was in Harvard Square! The first time I thought about taking a picture, but passed. The second time I laughed and grabbed for my camera, but something else caught my eye. When I turned around and someone else was using a phone - how could I pass it up this time!?
This line of phones is in the pit, and you can see the super awesome news stand I was talking about yesterday in the background.

I always forget that payphones exsist... unless of course I happen to be in London. LOL.
I'm the opposite - I notice them ALL THE TIME now, especially when people are using them because I always think "really? people use those?". Even if I tried to use one if my cell phone was dead, I'd be screwed because I don't have any phone numbers memorized because my phone dials for me!
Great capture . . . love the cylinder style booths . . . you caught that caller in just the right light.
I still have a few old land line #s memorized that I could dial hxaczbut forget the cell #s they are all in speed dial.
Nice shot. Are we going to see any stand alone shots of the newsstand?
You know what's funny? People love that newsstand because they have probably the best selection of international papers in all of Boston/Cambridge, and I didn't even think to take a photo of it when I was there. I'll work on getting back there to get a photo!
Okay, get right over there, lol. I love that newsstand because of the incredible selection they carry, and always made a point of going there when I worked in the Cambridge area.
Nice angle!
