Stop...in the name of art

An artist goes to work on Newbury Street yesterday...in the middle of the crosswalk.

Great title for a post. That guy must be nuts:) I live in Boston and know enough to look both ways even when crossing a one way street, since I almost got run over by a car going the wrong way ON THE SIDEWALK on, guess where, Newbury Street!

my friend and i stopped and stared at this guy for a while on Monday wondering what on Earth he was doing. I think we decided he was just an attention-seeker!

those love handles aren't going to go away by just standing there.

IN the crosswalk?? I have been to Boston, and I would NOT trust the traffic to respect my life in this way. But I do like this picture as a representation of Boston. I remember artists doing this, but safely off the street!

Nice photography. Interesting subject. I have been there and done that -- painting.

Looks like a nice painting.

It's so much easier to carry a digital camera. ;) it does look like he does a nice job of painting, and he must enjoy it to not allow traffic to bother him.
